| We are Wanderlust Theatre Co., a New York City based non-profit professional theatre group. Wanderlust invites opportunities to present imaginative productions of classic plays, musicals and cabaret as an affordable cultural resource around the world. |
| With Guatemala as our current international focus, we offer the opportunity to experience live theatre to areas of Central America where work from the U.S. is seldom seen. We strive to build a cultural bridge, an exchange and alliance of |
| cultures between the United States and Central America. |
| We are imagining a different kind of cultural landscape which will result in the establishment of an important fabric of working relationships. |
| OUR IDENTITY |
| Wanderlust Theatre Co., formerly known as Theatre Antique (1995-2000), has presented professional theatre and collaborative projects in the U.S. and Central America beginning in January of 1996. Wanderlust Theatre Co. is made up of over thirty ethnically diverse New York professionals in the fields of performance, set design, stage management, production, technical direction, costume design, stage direction, musical direction and choreography. Our ensemble includes artists who are passionate about broadening horizons and crossing geographic, economic, and political barriers by communicating through theatre and music. Our number grows with each project. |
| Wanderlust holds as its maxim that it is through theatrical entertainment that audiences are moved to embrace material that may enrich their lives. Traveling theatre aids in communication and cultural understanding across the globe. We believe that artists, in addition to their audiences, benefit greatly from cultural exchange. Travel offers an immensely valuable opportunity for artists to broaden their creative palettes. Exposure to vastly different cultures can provide artists access to varied sensations and unique experiences. |
| Wanderlust is a theatre company with a hunger for diversity, a focus on eradicating stereotypes and a committment to celebrate untraditional casting. |

| As you can imagine, travelling theatre can be quite costly. The cost of each project that we assemble ranges anywhere from $6000, for a small production such as Cabaret Jukebox, to $200,000 + for something grand like Evita. With ticket prices ranging from $5 to $10 it would be impossible to simply break even on ticket sales alone. |
| We greatly appreciate assistance of any kind. |
| The kindness and generosity of numerous individuals has been vital to our survival. |
